Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. Preaching is an art, but it’s not fine art. • Fine: the art is an end in itself. • Preaching is a means to an end. And that end is the exaltation of God’s glory among all nations. 1. The ultimate goal of God revealed in His Word is the exaltation of His glory among all the nations. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them.
